Is the Gyroor C1Plus the Best Electric Scooter for You? A Comprehensive Review

Reasons Why This Electric Scooter Is a Game-Changer

Electric scooters or mopeds have come a long way. Once a niche product for tech enthusiasts, they’re now a practical solution for city dwellers who want to cut commute costs, skip traffic, and move through their neighborhoods with ease. The Gyroor C1Plus sits squarely in that conversation — a seated electric scooter that blends real power with everyday practicality.

I have been meaning to get pen to paper about this little delight, but the weather has been less than accommodating until recently. The day the scooter arrived, it snowed about 6". It seemed a better idea to keep the unit in the box until I had optimal riding conditions. Here were the questions I had…….

The Gyroor C1Plus looks inviting, but does it actually deliver? Is it comfortable, and how does it handle on worn-out paths? Here’s a full breakdown.

Assembly of the Gyroor C1Plus Electric Scooter

Every good ride begins with assembling the product. The Gyroor C1Plus electric scooter was no different, but I commend the company for a well-packaged product.

Plenty of foam and zip ties keep the loose components together. The hardest part of the whole process was cutting away all of the zip ties. Putting on the handlebars was pretty simple. The foot pegs were a learning experience until we reversed the process. (The nut goes on the outside)

Make sure you add the rear basket because it is outfitted with the rear tailight.

All in all, the process went smoothly and just needed a few adjustments to reach a finished product.

Motor Performance: More Power Than You’d Expect

The C1Plus is powered by a 650W brushless hub motor with a peak output of 1000W. That combination produces a top speed of roughly 18.6 mph — more than enough for bike lanes, neighborhood roads, and campus routes. As mentioned in a previous article, the bike path near my home has limited electric vehicles to 15mph. The Gyroor C1Plus is a perfect machine for my family’s daily use.

Three selectable speed modes (12.2, 15.5, and 18.6 mph) let you dial in the right pace for your environment. The motor also handles inclines well, with a rating of up to 15 degrees. That’s a notable spec for anyone navigating hilly streets or parking structures.

For most urban commuters, the power output feels confidently matched to the task. It won’t struggle at a traffic light, and it moves through gentle climbs without hesitation.

Ride Quality: Smooth Enough for Daily Use

Comfort is where the C1Plus earns real points. The 14-inch pneumatic tires absorb bumps and surface cracks better than solid-tire alternatives, and the rear shock absorber adds another layer of smoothness on rougher roads.

The padded seat — 3 inches thick with an adjustable height range of 30 to 38 inches — makes a noticeable difference on longer rides. Sitting rather than standing reduces the fatigue that builds up on standard scooters, especially after 20–30 minutes of riding. The handlebar adjusts between 40 and 44 inches, accommodating riders from 5'1" to 6'5". (I would say 6'5" might be pushing it)

One honest caveat: the C1Plus isn’t built for off-road terrain. Gyroor recommends against extremely rough surfaces, as they can affect wheel hub longevity. Stick to paved paths, and you’ll have no issues.

Battery Life and Range: 30 Miles on a Charge

The 48V 13.5Ah lithium battery is UL2272 safety-certified and rated for approximately 30 miles per charge — tested at around 15 mph. Real-world range will vary based on rider weight, terrain, and selected speed mode. Heavier loads or faster speeds will naturally reduce that figure.

Charging takes 5 to 7 hours using the included 54.6V 2A charger. That’s a standard overnight window, making it easy to top up between rides. The battery management system automatically handles over-voltage, under-voltage, short-circuit, and overheating protection, which adds a layer of confidence for everyday use.

Practicality: Storage That Actually Makes a Difference

This is where the C1Plus sets itself apart from comparable models. The detachable front basket measures approximately 20.7 x 10.5 x 10.2 inches and holds up to 60 lbs — enough for a full grocery run, work bag, your son’s football gear, or even a small pet. Gyroor really touts the ability to transport pets on this electric scooter.

A secondary rear basket adds extra carrying capacity for lighter items like purses and bags.

Did I mention the front basket features a side door for easy loading? The quick-release mechanism means it detaches in seconds when you don’t need it. Combined with the 300 lb maximum load capacity (rider plus cargo), the C1Plus functions less like a commuter scooter and more like a compact, electric utility vehicle.

The handlebar folds for transport and storage, which is useful for apartment dwellers or anyone who needs to stow it in a car trunk. At 63 lbs, it’s manageable — though not exactly lightweight.

Final Verdict: Strong Value at the Flash Sale Price

At its regular price of $799, the Gyroor C1Plus is a competitive option in the seated electric scooter market. At the current flash sale price of $667, it becomes a genuinely hard-to-ignore deal for commuters who want real range, genuine cargo capacity, and a comfortable ride.

The UL2272 certification, front and rear disc brakes, IP54 mainframe rating, and three-speed system round out a feature list that punches above its price point. It’s not without minor trade-offs — the charging time is moderate, and rough terrain is off the table — but for smooth urban commuting, it covers the essentials well.

If you’re looking for an electric moped that handles daily errands, longer commutes, and a bit of cargo hauling without breaking the bank, the C1Plus is worth serious consideration.
